Thursday, January 17, 2008 - 7:00 p.m. - Crawford County VoTech School conference room.

• Review financial report for 2007.  view report

• Approve budget for 2008.  view report

• League assessments are set at $35.00 per team in the Minor, Major, Junior and Senior division teams.  Assessment payments are due by the District Tournament meeting on June 23, 2008.

• Motion passed to have teams draw bracket placings at the Tournament meeting on June 23, 2008.

• 2008 Section Tournament hosted by District 1 Leagues

  • 10 and 11 Year Old Baseball to be hosted by Meadville Little League.

  • 9 and 10 Year Old Softball to be hosted by McLane Little League.

  • Senior League Softball to be hosted by Cochranton Little League.

• Schedule 2008 Meeting dates (as listed below)

Sunday, February 17, 2008 - 600 p.m. - Crawford County VoTech School conference room.

• Presentations on the ASAP program and Choicepoint.com.  more information 

• Reviewed 2008 rule changes.  view rule changes

• Motion passed to require each league in District 1 to pay $125 to cover the costs of the District 1 coaching clinic.  Payments are due at the March 31 metting.

• Discussion revolved around making it mandatory for leagues to have an ASAP plan in place in order to host District 1 tournament games.

Monday, March 31, 2008 - 7:00 p.m. - Crawford County VoTech School conference room.

• Organize schedules and interleague play.

Saturday, April 19, 2008 - 9:00 a.m. - Crawford County VoTech School cafeteria.

• District 1 coaching fundamentals and first-aid training.

Sunday, May 18, 2008 - 6:00 p.m. - Crawford County VoTech School conference room.

• Meeting for Presidents to complete and submit all interleague play, combined teams and waiver forms.  All forms must be submitted through the District Administrator to Eastern Region headquarters by June 1.

Monday, June 23, 2008 - 6:00 p.m. - Bertram Park, Saegertown.

• Meeting for Presidents, Tournament Team Managers and Coaches, Tournament Umpires.
  • Tournament affidavits and all accompanying documentation, including original birth certificates for players presented for checking and approval.

  • Presentation of Tournament rules and procedures.

  • Teams draw for placement of teams in the brackets.

Wednesday, November 19, 2008 - 7:00 p.m. - Crawford County VoTech School conference room.

• Review tournament.

• Present information received at East Region DA meeting in Bristol, CT.

• Set the first meeting date for 2008.
